DIY camo stud tee!

So today, we had a storm day! Sandy has officially hit the east coast & since theres a state of emergency that means we all have the day off! In the mean time, I thought I'd share one of my fav fall DIYs:)

MATERIALS:
1. Camo tee, I got this one from target for $3
2. Scissors
3. Pyramid Studs, I got mine from a stud belt @ dollar day. similar - but you can find way cheaper
3. Butter knife - to take studs off belt
4. Measuring tape
5. Marker

STEP 1: Turn shirt inside out and trace along the shoulder seems, as to how low you want your cut out to be

STEP 2: Slowly cut through fabric to create the cut out, once you've done so try the shirt on to make sure each side is equal cut in length

STEP 3: Take studs and start poking through fabric along the linings of the cutout you just made ( I also put studs on the collar )

& there you have it, finished product :)

DIY take 3.

One of my favorite things to do is find things lying around the house and turning them into something wearable again! This fall one of the big trends are DENIM SHIRTS / JACKETS. So i thought how could i revamp this into something I could wear casually and on a night out... here it is!

WHAT YOU NEED:

1. Denim shirt similar styles HERE
2. Scissors
3. Needle & Thread or Sewing machine (I sew by hand)
4. Spikes/Studs -optional to add your own twist
5. Ruler & Marker

1. Take your denim shirt and turn it inside out. (inside should be darker)

2. Take a marker and ruler and align it to how large you want the hole to be. I did mine right above the second button just to be safe (eek!)

3. Carefully take your scissor and cut along the line and try to be as neat as possible to avoid fringes !

4. Repeat steps on both sides and make sure each line is even to the other! Finally turn shirt right side out and it should look something like this! I personally haven't had the chance to sew in the seams so it there is a clean line, but you can easily fold over the line you cut on and sew to make it look like you bought the shirt with natural cut outs!

Pair this beauty with some leggings and fall booties

OR

Tuck it into a maxi skirt ( I used a maxi dressed turned into skirt ) like this!

LOVE this look!

Burgundy Lips, Neon accents :

Birthday fun + easy DIY accessory!

So a couple of weeks ago it was one of my best friends Meera's birthday and we all decided to surprise her with a party in Hoboken! We went to this lounge called Teak on the Hudson. This place was beautiful and the dj was awesome! Anyways... for the life of me I could not figure out what to wear but then thought you can never go wrong with leather pants and a tank right? So I finally decided on..

Pic is a little blurry (sorry!)

I paired an old pair of leather leggings from FOREVER21 (similar HERE) and an old target white tank. Accessorized this with my absolute favorite ZARA heels (similar but different color & newer season HERE), neon clutch (gifted) from KOHLS and my DIY revamp chrome necklace
